Funkiest offices from around the world

1As companies become more aware about the working environments for their staff there seems to have been a shift away from traditional office designs that have stood us in good stead for many years. Nowadays companies are concentrating on designing offices that are more spacious and modern that offer plenty of areas that staff can use for different purposes. Companies are also far more aware of the benefits that natural light offer hence why many buildings are being built with big glass windows to capture as much light as possible. Window companies like Vitrine are involved in more and more projects where glass is being used to create wonderful new buildings where natural light is the main focus.

This is especially true of many of the larger creative and tech companies that are investing huge amounts of money into creating innovative, funky offices that from the outside can look more like adult playgrounds than offices. The reason for this big change in culture is that many companies believe that by investing in their staff by keeping them happy, fed and entertained will encourage productivity, creativity, loyalty and dedication.

We have chosen three offices from around the world that we have now doubt you would like to work in, even if it was just for one day.

Google

Google offers a working environment that is second to none, using innovative ideas that encourages staff to be creative. One of Google’s house rules is that no member of staff should ever be more than 100 metres from food hence the multitude of kitchens, not to mention the cafeteria where every employee can eat for free three times a day. There are slides and fireman poles, hammock chairs and bean bags, break out pods and pool tables, the list goes on.  The focus at Google is as much on work as it is on providing the space for fun and creativity.

Zynga

Based in a huge six floored building covering 556,000 square feet in San Francisco, California, is Zynga’s (https://www.zynga.com/) headquarters. As well as the pizza station and food court you will also find on every floor snack bars to ensure you are never hungry. Bold images jump out from a retro design along with bright colours and glowing designs. There is also an amphitheatre for those that wish to be heard loud and clear.

2Red Bull

Offering a modern sleek design, Red Bulls offices are intent on stimulating both employees and visitors alike. Based in the top three floors of a 19th Century building in Soho, the office design is contemporary and ultra-cool.  The glass reception is located at the top of the building and transforms into a bar at night where many of the staff stay to mingle and socialise after office hours. Not only is the design inspiring and futuristic but this amazing dual purpose space offers spectacular views across London’s West End.
